The set of three consists of a sebum softener, a blackhead remover and a shrink toner. They are nicely labeled with 1, 2 and 3 so that you won't go wrong with the steps. However, the description behind the box is written in Chinese as it is a product from Taiwan. Not very user friendly, therefore I will just briefly explain the steps in English here. :)

How to use?

STEP ONE Soften

After face washing, apply some sebum softener on the areas you wish to focus on and massage. This step is important because it softens your blackheads and sebum, making it easier to remove later on. The solution is very watery so be careful when you are pouring it! When you are done, rinse with water. Remember, it is very important to rinse your face after you apply the sebum, as the sebum is slightly oily and this layer of sebum will actually prevent the mask from sticking on the blackheads later on.

STEP TWO Remove

Apply a thick layer of black heads remover or the so called mask on areas which are rich with stubborn blackheads. Leave it until it dry. It takes about 20-30 minutes to dry up completely. And wow, I really smell coffee!

When it's time, gently peel it off, starting from the bottom to top, in an upward direction. The mask that is unsuccessfully peeled off can be directly washed with water. And tadaaa! Byebye blackheads! Can you see some whitish stuffs standing up? This sounds a bit gross but these are the blackheads, whiteheads, dirt or whatever you celled it. Yucks, I hate you blackheads. It may not be able to remove 100% of my blackheads at once, but it sure helps a lot!

STEP THREE Shrink

Lastly, don't forget to apply appropriate amount of shrink toner on the treated skin to leave the skin soothing and pore refining. It closes up our pores so that the dirt will not get in easily. For best results, use this blackhead cleanser set once or twice a week. :)

Neutrogena® Nautrals Purifying Makeup Remover Cleansings Wipes

I've tried quite a few different cleansing towelettes for my face including Costco's Kirkland brand, Simple Skincare's Radiance Cleansing Wipes, Simple Oil Cleansing Wipes, and Ole Henriksen Truth to Go Cleansing Wipes. I've also used Aveeno Active Naturals Clear Complexion Daily Cleansing Pads, though they don't work quite the same way because they work up a lather and require rinsing your face.

Though I am currently using the Kirkland brand because they are the most cost effective of anything I've tried, for me the Simple wipes are the one to beat because they are effective at removing makeup, don't leave a residue, are gentle on sensitive skin, and non-drying. The only thing I haven't loved them for is removing eye makeup because even though the marketing says they are eye safe they do make the skin under my eyes feel tender and irritated.

For me, these Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes are on par with the Simple wipes. I love that they are not heavily perfumed. I also enjoy how they feel on my skin. I haven't experienced any stinging like I do with the Kirkland brand and they also don't leave behind a residue or make my skin feel tight. As with the Simple wipes, I still much prefer to use dedicated eye makeup remover with a cotton round for eye makeup, but these are throughout at removing foundation, tinted moisturizer, blush, powder, etc. To my nose they also have a soft, almost green apple like scent that is quite pleasant.

Cómo afinar un rostro redondo con tu maquillaje

El maquillaje puede ser muy divertido, pero también es un arte que si sabemos manejar puede transformar nuestra cara para remarcar los rasgos que nos gustan y cubrir aquellos que no nos hacen tan felices.

Si tienes una cara redonda es importante que aprendas a maquillarla para lucir guapísima. El resultado final de esta técnica de maquillaje es realmente sorprendente y creo que si lo intentas vas a estar más que feliz.

Para afinar un rostro redondo con tu maquillaje tienes que seguir estos pasos:

• Antes de comenzar a maquillarnos es muy importante que tengas tu piel limpia, humectada y tonificada. Además de ser lo mejor para tu cutis eso va a hacer que tu maquillaje dure todo el día y se adapte a tu rostro. También es importante que depiles tus cejas porque a veces las olvidamos pero una ceja mal depilada o no depilada hace una gran diferencia en tu mirada.
• La base: el objetivo cuando nos colocamos base es emparejar el color de la piel y tapar las manchitas o marcas que puedas tener. Si tu piel es seca lo mejor será que utilices una base cremosa. Si tienes un cutis sensible te recomiendo que apliques una hipo alergénica. Y si tu piel es grasa o tienes muchos granitos usa una base sin aceite.

Para elegir el color pruébalas en tu mejilla o mandíbula. La que prácticamente no se note es la adecuada para ti. Nunca elijas una que sea más clara que tu complexión.

Aplicarla es súper simple, toma un poco de base con un pincel y distribúyela por toda la cara de forma pareja. Recuerda siempre aplicar un poco en el cuello también para que no parezca una máscara. Luego esfúmala con una esponja de látex. Si tienes muchas imperfecciones en tu rostro puedes aplicar una segunda capa pero primero retira el exceso con un papel y dando golpecitos.

• El corrector: nuestro corrector disimula e ilumina cualquier parte de nuestro rostro. Nos ayuda a tapar las imperfecciones que hayan quedado y tiene que ser un tono más claro que la base. Aplícalo con un pincel en las zonas que quieras disimular. Para que penetre y quede natural tienes que difuminarlo con la yema de tus dedos dando pequeños golpecitos. Si tienes ojeras muy marcadas has lo mismo que con la base, retira el exceso con un papelito y coloca una segunda capa.
• Luego necesitarás dos polvos compactos. Uno que sea uno o dos tonos más claros que tu piel para resaltar e iluminar y otro que sea dos o tres tonos más oscuro que te servirá para hundir y disimular rasgos.

Con el más claro vas a querer resaltar el mentón, el centro de la frente y nariz y los pómulos.

El más oscuro vas a aplicarlo en la zona del hueso del pómulo en forma diagonal, en los costados de la frente y en los bordes de la nariz.

• Después de que difumines todo esto quedarás con un rostro guapísimo, si quieres aplicar rubor hazlo sobre el polvo oscuro. Termina maquillando tus ojos y labios como más te guste!!

This polish dries very fast, I actually painted my nail in the car (I was not driving!) And in under 5 minutes I had a lounge look-a-like manicure! Las 8 peores cosas que le puedes hacer a tu cabello

Para tener una buena cabellera, casi siempre acudimos al recurso más fácil: ir hasta el salón de belleza y esperar a que hagan maravillas en una sentada. Pero muchas veces el problema de no tener un cabello sano está en respetar ciertas reglas (a nadie le gustan pero si funcionan, ¡hay que seguirlas!), y si no quieres vivir para siempre con puntas quemadas, hay ciertas cosas que deberías cambiar de tu estilo de vida.

Estos son los 8 peores errores que puedes hacerle a tu melena:

1. Peinarlo excesivamente: Este es uno de los errores más comúnes en las mujeres. Desde que se inventó aquel dicho de peinar el cabello 100 veces para darle brillo, muchas chicas lo siguieron al pie de la letra dañando muchas hebras. ¿La mejor forma de desenredar tu cabello? péinalo con tus dedos, en vez de usar un cepillo; además, si quieres saber un truco, el mejor momento para peinarlo es en las mañanas. Mientras duermes tu cabello acumula aceites naturales, y si pasas tus manos a primera hora para desenredarlo llevarás ese brillo al resto de tus mechones.

Adicional a esto, también tienes que saber cómo peinarlo.  Si no puedes evitar usar un cepillo para el cabello, debes desenredarlo desde la mitad hacia las puntas, no partiendo del cuero cabelludo. Si empiezas desde la raíz te encontrarás con varios nudos que dificultarán peinarlo y le harán más daño a tu pelo.

2. Constante coloración: Está bien que nos guste seguir ciertas tendencias como unas puntas desgastadas o unos mechones de colores, pero si quieres un pelo saludable, ¡tienes que sacar de tu cabeza esa obsesión por los tintes! La pintura daña tu cabello incluso más que el calor de los secadores y rizadores, por la cantidad de químicos que contienen. Trata de teñirlo máximo 2 veces al año, y verás que tu pelo crecerá mucho más suave y brillante.

3. Usar cola de caballo:  Llevar el pelo atado es ideal para hacer ejercicios, pero úsalo de esta forma lo menos que puedas. Usar una cola de caballo crea una presión contante al mismo lado de tu cuero cabelludo, debilitándolo y evitando su crecimiento. Si te encanta este peinado y no quieres dejar de usar tu cabello así, busca otras opciones para anudarlo, como ganchitos bobby pinso un scrunchie (si no sabes de qué te hablamos, mira a la novia del Príncipe Harry llevarlos con estilo).  

4. Aplicar todos los productos para el cabello posible. Aunque creas que estás ayudando a tu cabello a verse mejor, en realidad lo estás dañando más. Gels, silicona, sprays, sueros, y todos esos accesorios de estilismo que usas contienen tantos químicos en su contenido que es de las peores cosas que puedes hacerle a tu pelo. Siempre elige aquellos que tengan ingredientes orgánicos y tengan en su base aceites como el argan, que sirve para el crecimiento y la salud de tu cabellera.

5. Fumar: Si tienes este hábito puedes despedirte para siempre de un cabello lindo. Fumar cigarrillos aumenta la resequedad del cuero cabelludo y eleva su posibilidad de quebrarse. Así que no sólo causas un daño terrible a tu organismo, sino que ningún producto reparador del cabello podrá arreglar los estragos producto de fumar.

6. No hacerle mantenimiento a tus equipos:Ssi tienes años usando las mismas herramientas de estilismo y nunca las limpias estás cometiendo un error fatal. (¿cuándo fue la última vez que retiraste el cabello acumulado de tu cepillo?). Tus alisadores, peines y cepillos acumulan gran cantidad de gérmenes, y al no mantenerlos, ¡estás llevando esos gérmenes a tu pelo! 

7. Mala alimentación: Todo lo que comes se refleja en tu cabello, porque está compuesto de colágeno y proteína, ambos obtenidos de las grasas saludables y las proteínas que consumes a diario.  Para que tu cabellera luzca como salida de un comercial de shampoo, trata de comer muchas verduras y alimentos como nueces, aguacate, huevo, coco, lechuga, y pescados como salmón que son ricos en antioxidantes y Omega 3.

8. Peinar el cabello mojado: Este es otro de los errores que más cometemos. Cuando el cabello está húmedo, es cuando más frágil se encuentra, y si lo desenredamos con un peine fino terminaremos con todas las hebras partidas. Desenrédalo en la ducha si es necesario, pero usando un peine de cerdas bien separadas.

Si escapas de estos desaciertos, en menos de lo que te imaginas verás cambios positivos en tu cabellera. ¡Son consejos básicos pero efectivos!
